Lots of pictures are needed and a place like a blog was found to try. If it works out, published pictures will be limited on my web site and it'll be filled with text mostly, while blogs will be used for photos:

This year, 2009, I am learning to be a photographer. Making digital prints of my oil paintings and drawings last year got me interested all the way. My chosen area of focus is Dry Plate Ultra Large Photography. To that end a wet darkroom has been created in my coal cellar, too many old cameras were purchased, lots of plate holders were collected for the old cameras, and now plate coating equipment has begun to arrive. Read about it at my new blog; blogging is new for me as well.

Last year, 2008, my art was been made into digital prints. Some are full sized that match my hand pulled silk screen prints, 25" x 32", and are on fine art print paper. Those look and feel just like the originals. More are on 8 1/2" x 11" glossy paper. Samples of these new prints are available in the above PRINT folder. Now that I'm also into photography, prints of my work will be offered as are prints of paintings and drawings.

Before making prints I used to make movies and teach animation. TWO MOVIES ABOUT MY ART ARE ON LINE:

1. The Eye Within
This is a 16mm color sound film about a dream image. It is an oil painting that was made to look like something from an oil painting that was made not to look like anything. http://www.archive.org/details/The_Eye_Within
That web page confuses some, so, here is the direct link to the movie. Just right mouse click on it and save as: MPEG1 66MB

2. Braddock Cemetery View
This is a vhs-c movie about me painting an almost 6 foot long realistic oil painting. It is presented as still photos and a vhs-c movie sandwiched in-between.

And, during all my activities, I make webs. My old filmmaking webs are on line. ?!?!

They are huge and you got to be interested in regular 8mm, 16mm, and super 8mm some. There are some pictures that appear, but not all are shown. Movies that were included are no longer hosted; perhaps I could put them up on youtube but I don't know how to link to them from the site that hosts the webs. Anyway, it is amazing to me to see them again after all these years.
